DescriptionOral History - A brief interview with Edith Day Zirkle, now a resident of Central Convalescent Home, who is now 93 years old and except for deafness, is able to recall much about her early days as a graduate of the Woodcock Academy and school teacher at many of Yakima County's schools for many years. Daughter of pioneer Henry Day, her mother was a matron at the Woodcock Academy after her father's death. She taught in the Castle Canyon School (later combined into Castlevale) which is still standing. Time 22:26
