DescriptionMaj. Gen. Hunter Liggett shaking hands with Sgt. J. Bushman, Company G, Ninth Infantry, whom he had decorated with the Medaille Militare and Croix de Guerre. He captured a machine gun nest at Soissons. The officers Maj. A. D. Alary Fechet, Second Battalion, Twenty-third Infantry, and Lieut. L. D. Cook, Second Battalion, Fifty-fifth Company, United States Marine Corps, have received the decoration of Chevalier Legion of Honor and Croix de Guerre for gallantry in action. Soissons, France. July 18 & 19, 1918.
