DescriptionAnna Rose & ? Mr & Mrs Bowes had an apple pear, cherry ranch at the corner of Nob Hill and 34th Ave in Yakima. 34th Ave was called Valley View Road at that time. - They had no children and when Mrs Bowes passed away, Mr. Bowes sister Anna Rose came to keep house and live there. She was a widow and out-lived Mr. Bowes by many years. - She continued tolive on the ranch and after World War II it was sold and sub-divided to provide housing for returning veterans. One of the streets is Rose Place and the whole subdivision was also named for her. - The original farm house survivives at 1008-1010 s 34th Ave. She lived there until her death. -
